Day 1

A preemptive thank you to Nicole for all my future ideas that will get shot down.

This game will be a small step for board games, and a giant leap for humanity. But by no means will this create any innovations in kitchen sinks.

As a matter of fact, this game will have the potential to enhance EVERYTHING KNOWN TO MAN

except kitchen sinks.

This post is equivalent to a microphone check 1, 2, 1, 2.

Welcome to our Blog!

In our Collaborative Writing Practices class, we began to think about our final project.

Professor Goeller suggested we create a blogger to record our ideas and show our game design process in the works.
Our group consists of myself (Nicole Braccio), Jared Sussman, Yunlu Chen, and Ricardo Del Rio.

This blog serves as a journal so to speak, of creating a workable and marketable game that would be sufficient for college students like us. Our main goal is to create a socially interactive game that could possibly act as an icebreaker, connecting people where there may or may not be a winner. Most importantly, the journey throughout the game should be fun.

Brainstorming

Our group spent the better part of the day brainstorming in class today. We came up with many diverse ideas from each member of the group and were even able to decide on a basic idea for our game. The idea includes "Everything But the Kitchen Sink." We are thinking of a wide variety of categories from music lyrics and movies, to food products, improv and a few more. Each of these categories will be made into questions, activities, or challenges that give the players the opportunity to gain points.
Over the next few meetings we'll decide on the layout for the board, the ways to move around the board, and the rules, and the gameplay. We have to think of our target audience when creating the game and cater to them. once that is done we can begin prototypes and playtesting.
